Professional services marketing for UK law firms and accountants
We help firms get found on Google, Maps and AI answers, and build the route that turns those searches into enquiries and instructions, inside SRA and FCA rules.

“solicitors near me” is searched about 33,100 times a month in the UK, according to Google’s Keyword Planner.
Google showed a map of local firms on all 28 of our Birmingham checks. On a phone, the first website result started a median 1.6 screens down.
Google showed an AI Overview for 5 of our 14 searches, and 5 of the 6 answers named specific Birmingham firms.
The SRA Code says a solicitor’s publicity must be accurate and not misleading, with no unsolicited approaches to members of the public to advertise legal services, except to current or former clients.
SRA-regulated firms that advertise services such as residential conveyancing, uncontested probate and dismissal claims must publish cost information on their website.
Businesses that have worked with Get-Found
What professional services marketing is.
Professional services marketing is how a firm gets found, trusted and instructed by the clients it wants, from a first search to a new instruction.
For a law firm, an accountancy practice or a financial adviser that means Google Maps, reviews, practice-area pages, AI answers, paid search and LinkedIn, inside regulators’ rules on publicity, published prices and financial promotions that most businesses don’t face. Here’s an example: a conveyancing team publishes its prices and the experience of the people doing the work, as the SRA requires, keeps its Google Business Profile current, asks every client for a review and runs Google Ads only on the matters it has capacity for.
Follow a client from search to instruction
They search for the service
In the UK, “solicitors near me” is searched about 33,100 times a month, “accountant near me” about 12,100 and “conveyancing solicitors” about 9,900, according to Google’s Keyword Planner.
What we do: A page for each practice area or service, a complete Google Business Profile for each office, and paid search where the matter value carries the click price.
A map comes before the websites
In our 14 Birmingham searches on 14 October 2026, Google showed a map of local firms on every check, phone and computer, each firm with its star rating and number of reviews. On a phone, the first website result started a median 1.6 screens down.
What we do: Each office’s profile kept complete and current: categories, services, opening hours, photos and a review request after every matter.
Some also get an AI answer
Google showed an AI Overview for 5 of the 14 searches, and 5 of the 6 answers named specific Birmingham firms; the sixth named two online will-writing services. For “accountant near me” on a phone, it named three Birmingham practices with their ratings and review counts.
What we do: Clear, sourced answers on your own pages, written with your fee earners, and the same firm details on every directory, so AI answers can find you and quote you.
Then they call or enquire
Before they instruct, people can compare prices and see who’ll do the work, because the SRA requires regulated firms that advertise services such as residential conveyancing, uncontested probate and dismissal claims to publish cost information. Every SRA-authorised firm must also show its SRA number and digital badge on its website.
What we do: Call tracking, enquiry response times measured, fee pages built to rank, and reporting in enquiries and instructions, not clicks.
What clients see when they search.
On 14 October 2026 we checked 14 searches for solicitors, accountants and advisers in Birmingham, on a phone and on a computer. Google showed its map of local firms every time.

Google UK in Birmingham, one check per search on a phone (Android) and on a computer (Windows), between 11.31am and 11.39am UK time on 14 October 2026, through DataForSEO. “First website” is measured on the phone screenshot shown above, in screens of 844px. An AI Overview counts as naming firms when its answer listed specific ones by name; each was read by hand. On a computer, 6 of the 14 searches showed ads, up to five text ads on a page, and three of them also had a sponsored listing in the map. On a phone, 2 did: “immigration solicitors birmingham”, with one ad above the first website and two more at the foot of the page, and “bookkeeping services”, with two further down the page. Phone ads were checked against every screenshot; computer ads are as DataForSEO recorded them. Volumes are Google Ads Keyword Planner monthly averages for the UK, fetched 14 October 2026.

Client reviews

The rules
What firms can and can’t do.
We read eight of the pages that most often ranked in Google’s top three for “professional services marketing” and “marketing for law firms” on 14 October 2026. None of them mentions the SRA, the FCA or the ASA. Pick something a firm might want to do and read the rule that applies.
- Only if it’s true
“You ensure that any publicity in relation to your practice is accurate and not misleading, including that relating to your charges and the circumstances in which interest is payable by or to clients.”
SRA Code of Conduct for Solicitors, RELs, RFLs and RSLs, 8.8 ›
What we do: Hold the evidence first. The CAP Code also says marketers must hold documentary evidence for objective claims before they publish them.
Say you’re the best, the cheapest or the fastest
“You ensure that any publicity in relation to your practice is accurate and not misleading, including that relating to your charges and the circumstances in which interest is payable by or to clients.”
SRA Code of Conduct for Solicitors, RELs, RFLs and RSLs, 8.8 ›
What we do: Hold the evidence first. The CAP Code also says marketers must hold documentary evidence for objective claims before they publish them.
Cold-call or message people who might need a solicitor
“You do not make unsolicited approaches to members of the public, with the exception of current or former clients, in order to advertise legal services provided by you, or your business or employer.”
SRA Code of Conduct for Solicitors, RELs, RFLs and RSLs, 8.9 ›
What we do: Advertising is fine. The SRA’s guidance says you may advertise “online or on a social media platform”, as long as it’s non-intrusive and doesn’t approach people on a targeted or individual basis.
Keep conveyancing or probate prices off the website
SRA-authorised firms that advertise residential conveyancing, uncontested probate of UK assets, immigration applications or First-tier Tribunal appeals (not asylum), summary-only motoring offences dealt with at one hearing, or employees’ unfair or wrongful dismissal claims must publish cost information on their website. For business clients the list covers defending unfair or wrongful dismissal claims, debt recovery up to £100,000 and licensing for business premises. Publicly funded work is exempt.
SRA Transparency Rules, rules 1.1 to 1.4 ›
What we do: Cost information must cover the total cost or an average or range, the basis of your charges, the experience and qualifications of the people doing the work and their supervisors, likely disbursements, VAT, what’s included with the key stages and timescales, and for no-win-no-fee work when clients may have to pay. It must be clear, accessible and prominent, so we build it as pages that rank, not PDFs.
Leave the SRA badge off the website
“An authorised body must display in a prominent place on its website (or, in the case of a licensed body, the website relating to its legal services, if separate) its SRA number and the SRA’s digital badge.”
SRA Transparency Rules, rule 4.1 ›
What we do: We put your SRA number and badge where clients will see them on every page, not tucked into one page’s footer.
Leave the complaints procedure out
Firms must publish their complaints handling procedure on their website, including how and when a complaint can be made to the Legal Ombudsman and to the SRA.
SRA Transparency Rules, rule 2.1 ›
What we do: One clear page, linked from the footer and the fee pages.
Advertise prices without VAT
“Quoted prices must include non-optional taxes, duties, fees and charges that apply to all or most buyers. However, VAT-exclusive prices may be given if all those to whom the price claim is clearly addressed pay no VAT or can recover VAT.”
What we do: For consumer work such as conveyancing and wills, show prices with VAT. Where you quote business clients without VAT, the same rule asks for a prominent statement of the VAT rate.
Promote financial advice or a financial product
“A firm must ensure that a communication or a financial promotion is fair, clear and not misleading.”
What we do: For mortgages the equivalent rule is MCOB 3A.2.1R, which sets the same fair, clear and not misleading standard. Your compliance team signs off every ad and page before it goes live, and we build the timetable around their approval.
Run Google Ads for a financial adviser or mortgage broker
Google requires advertisers to be verified before showing financial services ads of any kind in the UK, and to show they’re authorised by the FCA or qualify for one of the exemptions Google lists.
Google Ads, Financial services verification: United Kingdom ›
What we do: It covers financial services the FCA regulates and ones it doesn’t. We don’t launch these campaigns until verification is in place.
Rules read on sra.org.uk, handbook.fca.org.uk, asa.org.uk and support.google.com on 14 October 2026. A summary to plan marketing around, not legal or regulatory advice.

Google Ads Keyword Planner’s “average monthly searches” for the UK, September 2025 to August 2026, fetched 14 October 2026. All figures are UK-wide totals: searches with no place name, like the “near me” ones, count the whole country, so one firm’s local share is far smaller.
Your first twelve weeks.
Five stages, some running side by side. Intake comes first, because fixes there land the week they ship. Move through the weeks to see what we’re doing in each.
Week 1
Enquiry and visibility audit
We track where enquiries come from, how fast they get answered and what share turn into instructions, plus a ranking baseline by practice area and a transparency compliance check.
Weeks 2 to 4
Fix intake and the money pages
Call tracking and form routing in place, response times measured against a target you set, and the transparency pages rebuilt as indexable pages rather than a buried PDF. Google Business Profile sorted for every office.
Weeks 4 to 10
Build the practice-area estate
Pages for the matter types you want more of, plus the questions clients ask before they ring. Drafted by us, attributed to your fee earners, and through compliance before publication rather than after.
Weeks 8 to 12
Turn the demand on
Paid search goes on only where the matter value carries the click price, with negatives built from a fortnight of real search terms. LinkedIn runs where the work is commercial and the buyer has a job title.
Monthly, ongoing
Report in instructions
One call a month with a named person. It opens with enquiries, instructions and fee value by practice area. Rankings and traffic sit further down the pack, because they’re inputs rather than outcomes.
